A new roof can lower your insurance
Florida insurers must discount the hurricane part of your premium for a code roof. See the range for your house.
How much could your insurance drop?
I know my hurricane (windstorm) premium
Already getting wind credits? Your declarations page lists them; your new savings are the credits you don't have yet.
Estimate only. Florida's wind-mitigation discounts apply to the hurricane portion of the premium; homes built to the 2001 code (1994 South Florida code in Miami-Dade and Broward) qualify for at least 68% off it (Florida CFO). Other ranges come from a Florida insurer's published discount notice; discounts don't add up and are capped at 89%. Your insurer sets the real discount from a wind-mitigation inspection; we provide the documents your agent asks for.

A hip roof, hurricane straps and impact-rated openings add more. Homes built to the 2001 code (1994 South Florida code in Miami-Dade and Broward) qualify for at least 68% off the hurricane portion.

Roofing questions
Repair or replace?
Localized damage on a roof under 15 years old is usually a repair. Leaks with no visible damage on a roof past 20 usually mean the underlayment has failed, and that's a replacement. We tell you which, in writing, after a free inspection.
Which roof lasts longest in Florida?
Metal (40–60 years) and tile (30–50) outlast shingle (20–30) and flat systems (15–25); the underlayment under tile needs replacing every 20–30 years.
Do you handle the permit and the insurance paperwork?
Yes: permit, inspections, HOA approval, and the photos, reports and wind-mitigation documents your insurer and adjuster ask for.
How fast can you get to a leak?
Our emergency line is answered 24/7 and a crew is on site within 3 hours to tarp, then the permanent repair is scheduled, with photos and a report for your insurer.
